“What do you spend your money on?”

A mentor once told me that this question easily answers what is most important to you.

At the time, it didn’t seem very helpful, as I was just scraping meet my basic Maslovian needs . Eating and keeping a roof over your head is obviously crucial.

As I’ve worked up Maslow’s hierarchy a bit, I’ve found this tip to pass the test of time. The card statements, even just the Amazon account, paints a vivid picture of what matters most in our household.
