Give thanks to rule breakers for progress.
There are rules that we all generally follow. Formal and informal — intrinsic morals, religious dogma, governed laws, and all the “this is how it’s done” strictures.
Many of these are very good, allowing humankind to build civilizations and evolve socially.
Though a lot are not much more than comfortable customs. No matter how much we order the world, it will still be a chaotic place. Habits and etiquette give a feeling of control, and sometimes only that.
Moving humanity forward requires understanding the difference between ethical requirements and training wheels, and compassion and care while pushing through the latter.
