Elementary and Secondary Education is a solid chunk of your life at 12 or 13 years.

A four-year degree is another block a lot of people opt into, right in the middle of the most virile and productive time of their lives. Many will keep going for more.

Your home will likely require be a 15- or 30-year mortgage, one of your longest commitments.

You won’t witness the fullness of trees in your lifetime. The glory of an heirloom apple tree will be enjoyed by the next generation and after. And there are some trees that have grown more grand through entire historical ages, a few even preceding written history.

Pando is the oldest and heaviest living organism known to man—a tree colony in Utah sharing a root system for over 80,000 years.

Let’s think in Tree Years.
