The way I see entrepreneurship is, basically, seeking out something you can provide others, that they would rather pay you for than do or make themselves. And then incrementally getting better at that enough to thrive despite competition.
As I was thinking about this, I was tempted to add, “or they are unable to do or make themselves.” Like a car, or an airplane. Though, the initial statement still works. It’s difficult to build a car, or an airplane, yet many people have done it. And those manufacturers have advanced so far that the barrier to entry is very high.
Another interesting aspect of this idea is that the person preferring to pay some cash, did something that you likely are not into to earn their income.
The flexibility and options afforded by capitalism is pretty cool, and all you need is a bit of other-directedness to succeed at it.
