“Warning: it’s only a nice surprise if you have something in your fridge besides mold and sauces.”

So it’s 3 a.m., and you have something really important to share with someone. But you don’t want to wake them up. And you don’t want them to think you’re up at 3 a.m. obsessive over something trivial. But also you don’t want a single moment to slip by before they see it because it is actually very important...

Now you can have your neuroses and sort of hide them, too! The genius open source developers at Telegram rolled out another golden nugget last night.

Introducing the ability to schedule messages to send when your contact comes online!

I love waking up to a Telegram update, and this one was totally off the hook. Among a couple features I’ve dreamt about — and many more I couldn’t have imagined — is a real game changer for polite but also perfectly prompt messaging. Not even 4 months since they rolled out scheduled messages (which we have all been hoping for since SMS first hit the scene), you are now able to have your message send when a contact of yours comes online.

Hurry up, and let your message wait.
