One of the greatest casualties of the information age

We live in a world of non-stop distractions.

An infinite feed of information and notifications is glued to each of us, tailored specifically to our tastes and designed to be addictive.

The worst part about having your attention stolen every minute is how much you can do with even a solid hour or two of focused work.

I’m just learning how to do this. It’s easy to immerse myself in a building project for hours. Focusing behind a computer screen is nearly impossible, though. I need to work on hygiene, keeping only relevant with tabs open. And meditation will help with learning to let the distractions float down the river.
