Need super-healing? Mānuka honey and lavender oil.

Monday, I terribly sliced the skin above my lip with a razor. The kind of cut that is flappy and doesn’t stop bleeding. Today, there is barely evidence of any injury.

My secret? Mānuka honey (honey from bees foraging exclusively on tea tree plants) and lavender oil.

The first time I alternated these to heal was when I scored a third degree burn on my calf. During the day, while out and about and active, I applied the honey and bandaged the wound. At night, before going to bed, I let it air out with a healthy application of lavender oil. I watched as my flesh visibly grew back each day, and fully healed in about two weeks.

Recently, we had a chick severely injured. She was essentially scalped, with bare skull and little pumping veins visible. She got the royal treatment and was back out with her friends in less than a week.

So a deep razor cut on my face? No problem.

These are essential ingredients for any first aid kit.

The higher the bio-activity number the better apparently.
