Make time every day for improvement.

If an entire work day goes by and I’ve only knocked out regular tasks, my day was unproductive.

My job is to make things better. My systems should be more efficient. Those tasks I did today should have a greater effect and be more enjoyable for myself or another person or persons tomorrow.

I must make time to build and evolve.

At the Polyface Intensive Discovery this year, Joel expressed this well with on of his dad’s sayings:

“Don’t spend more than four hours a day on chores.”

That’ a solid goal, and one that would have a significant impact on any business or home economy.
