Cutting a sheet of expanded metal, strand by strand, with a reciprocating saw isn’t relaxing work. The blade gets snagged, it sometimes vibrates so violently the sawsall battery comes loose.
Let up a little bit, and allow the blade achieve maximum speed. Then steadily guide it, and you’ll find when you give the tool opportunity to do what it was made to, it works a lot better.
