It Took a Pandemic to Teach Me Some Empathy Driving.

I can suffer from a bit of road rage. A defect I hope to shed fully someday.

There are glimmer of hopes in the meantime.

In our current sci-fi dystopia, a lot of people are experiencing loss and uncertainty.

I’ve caught myself — instead of getting angry when someone is sitting in a right lane during a red light stopping me from turning, or swerving around someone to make a light while it’s still pink — realizing they could be going through something.

In light of the pandemonium, I’m aware (finally) that other people could have a lot going on, and sitting at a light for another minute isn’t that big of a deal. This is true all the time, but I guess I’m so hard headed it takes an international emergency for me to consider things other people just know.
