So many people have asked us how to compost at home. We have special systems on our soil farm that allow us to compost for many households manually in a relatively small space.

Our processes wouldn't be applicable to you in your own backyard. Fortunately, there are many experts on home composting, and a wealth of information available online.

In order to help those unable to subscribe with us, here are some great resources to get started:

Excellent Overview from Deep Green Permaculture's Website:

3 Bin System Composting:

Vermiculture Book by Local Farmer & Author, Crystal Stevens:

The Rodale Book of Composting:

You can also join a community garden and volunteer. Most have some sort of composting, and you could probably bring your scraps and help make the good stuff along with other like-minded folks.

Happy Composting!
