Today I passed by a new construction site. A large crew has been working here for several weeks, and if you weny by casually without looking past the privacy fence, you may not notice any work beyond demolition.

Upon closer inspection, you see a massive hole, more than 40 feet down, with loaders at the bottom digging deeper.

The bigger the structure above, the further down the foundation needs set. Some of the largest buildings, a foundation can take years.
