Experience isn’t money in the bank

It’s more like a rebate, or a voucher.

Whether it was collecting Kool-Aid points as a kid, or now religiously cashing in my 11% Menards rebates, I have always loved taking advantage of deals. I never understood why anyone wouldn’t follow through on the promos, but alas many do not, and that’s part of the retailer’s game.

Experience sort of works the same way. You can go through trying times, learning experiences, though there is no guarantee that you’ll be any wiser — there is no instant enlightenment.

The returns on your lived investments come when you apply them to subsequent decisions. And they best part is you can use them over and over again.
