Dessert first
Procrastinating is eating dessert first.
Scrolling the social feed, playing the computer game, or consuming entertainment media — while neglecting meaningful work you’ve committed to—is pounding a pint of ice cream while the wholesome roast gets cold.
Dessert is great. I’ve got a major sweet tooth, both literally for mint chip and figuratively getting lost in internet wormholes. But, when you skip the meal a good appetite is ruined and needed nourishment is omitted.
In fact, my best dessert experiences were the capstones of a perfect meal. Maybe take it a step further than not skipping dessert, make every day and all you do a five course meal where every part builds on the next like a symphony...
