Stoic saying? Could be.
Intermittent fasting for over half a year now, the physical and mental benefits have been profound for me. It’s also remarkably easy to go at least 16 hours every day with eating, there’s no reason for me not to keep doing it.
Beyond tangible gains, the simple act of feeling hunger on a daily basis and telling yourself “not now” does wonders for discipline and productivity. It puts needs and feelings, and the luxury of abundant “food” in the 21st century, in perspective.
